Wonder Why We Love Lanvin-Paris? Check out this Fantastic Video from Bergdorf Goodman That Captures the Essence of What Makes Lanvin So Special.

Lanvin-Paris lead designer Alber Elbaz is credited with putting Paris’ oldest couture fashion house back on the map. Once you watch this video, you’ll understand why.

In addition to the great fashion commentary from Alber in this video, what we really love and appreciate about this interview is his down-to-earth-style, which really comes through in this interview with him courtesy of Bergdorf Goodman.

Once you watch this video, you’ll not only sense Alber’s passion for the original spirit of Lanvin founder Madame Jeanne Lanvin, but also his humility, sense of humor and his lack of pretentious (a rarity among designers of his class.)

We also especially appreciate that he wears the Lanvin eyewear that his couture design house markets — another vote of confidence in our book.

The Fall/Winter 09/10 Lanvin collection was heavy on blacks, and Alber does a great job in this video explaining why he chose a darker palette this season.

There is no designer diva mentality to Alber. In our opinion, he’s creating some of the most thoughtful, gorgeous designs in Paris without the usual ego. His attitude is completely refreshing and probably explains why Lanvin-Paris is back on top again.

We also love that Alber is placing his very beautiful eyewear on the runway. To us, there is no greater vote of confidence in your accessory collection than putting it on on your models.
