Movies at the Marquis Classic Film Series
Relive the glamour and style of Hollywood's golden age during the "Movies at the Marquis" 2010 Classic Film Series at the historic Marquis Theater in downtown Northville.
Brought to you by Urban Optiques, Tom Holzer Ford and The Northville Downtown Development Authority, the "Movies at the Marquis" Classic Film Series lets you experience 11 classic movies the way they were meant to be seen: on the big screen in a renovated historic theater where legends Charlie Chaplin and Mary Pickford once performed.
The series kicked off Saturday January 16th with the Hitchcock classic "North by Northwest" and concludes March 27th with Irving Berlin's "Easter Parade." The series features a broad range of award-winning movies ranging from musicals to romance, drama, action and intrigue.
The select classic movies will be shown each Saturday evening at 7:30 pm at the historic Marquis Theater located at 135 E. Main Street in Downtown Northville.
Urban Optiques will be providing viewing notes for all of the movies in the series, both in the theater and on our website. Be sure to check back frequently to learn more about each of these 11 extraordinary Hollywood classics.

Urban Optiques & Movies at the Marquis: A Match Made in Hollywood
At Urban Optiques we're in love with the glamour and style of classic Hollywood, so when we had a chance to be a series sponsor for the "Movies at the Marquis" 2010 Classic Film Series, it seemed like a perfect match.
Nothing captures the essence of Hollywood better than a pair of big sunglasses or cool aviators. And eyewear makes appearances in many of the classic films featured during this year's series. From Steve McQueen's Parasols in "The Thomas Crown Affair" to Cary Grant's fantastic shades in "North by Northwest", to Holly Golightly's Ray-Bans in other classics like "Breakfast at Tiffany's," great glasses and sunglasses abound in both classic and contemporary Hollywood movies.
As a sponsor of this year's series, we'll be enjoying each one of these great movies alongside you at the Marquis Theater. We'll also be open before and after each movie with refreshments, give-aways and of course, tons of great eyewear to help you see and be seen. We can't wait to see you at the cinema!
